Background
Baumeier has extensive experience in advanced cutting since 1998 when it acquired its first waterjet machine. The company has served as a test site for equipment manufacturers to improve processes and to expand the range of materials that can be cut effectively. Baumeier was the first in Canada to use the dynamic cutting technique and is among the leading North American companies in developing new approaches to reduce cutting times, lower tolerances and control costs for both waterjet and laser cutting.

Conventional Waterjet Cutting
Using ultra-high pressure water and garnet practically any material, thick or thin, hard or soft, large or small, simple or complex shapes can be cut. The process does not add heat or stress and does not distort the edges of parts.

Dynamic Waterjet Cutting
Dynamic cutting is advanced waterjet cutting that virtually eliminates edge taper concerns. Even when cutting at high speeds squareness of edges is automatically adjusted and maintained which enables faster production of parts.

Laser Cutting
Designed for the economical cutting of various materials, costs are minimized through the use of sophisticated layout software and an automated shuttle table. As with Waterjet cutting, precise cutting programs are developed from customer-supplied media to ensure accuracy.
